Illicit GLP-1 seizures more than doubled in July
U.S. Customs and Border Protection told Reuters the July haul of illicit GLP-1s more than doubled the fiscal-year tally it had already given.
CBP told Reuters it intercepted more than 690 shipments and more than 31,000 units of illicit GLP-1 medicines in fiscal year 2025.
CBP told Reuters that in July those figures more than doubled: more than 1,400 seizures and nearly 90,000 vials.
That is a customs-enforcement figure. It is not a statement about any approved medicine, and it is not a list of where to buy. Peptide Vault does not sell GLP-1s.
The same week, Lilly said it filed six U.S. lawsuits against sellers of black-market retatrutide — a drug that is not approved anywhere. See Retatrutide is not approved anywhere.
